I'm getting p1529 & p0456 codes. I checked many places on the internet but can't find the 456 code. Could someone help? Thank you!

P0456 means "Evap. Emission Control System-Small Leak Detected (0.5 mm)". I found this information in Hyundai WebTech, their online service manual. P0456 is most likely due to a slow fuel cap leak. Try unscrewing your cap and screwing back on until it clicks three times (no more, no less!) If that doesn't work, try getting a new fuel cap. Once the leak is gone, the code should go away on its own.

P1529 means "TCU Request for MIL On/Freeze Frame to ECM via CAN"... I really don't know what that means, but you may need to get that one reset by a dealer.

You can view WebTech for free with a free registration; see here for details. Once you're in, you can view both these codes by Clicking through Service Information > Elantra > 1 - 2001 > All Engines > DTC/OBD-II > Fuel System > INSPECTION CHART FOR DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES.
