we just bought a 07 sonata gls. 4cyl. yawn. we got 25mpg in town. my wife works 2 miles from home and 99% of her trips are under 3 miles. the caddy STS she parked averaged 12mpg in town. i totally agree the V6 will walk all over the 4cyl model. going thru 7 stoplights in 1 mile really makes a 4cyl a wise choice.

Now here's  a post that makes sense , fill her up once a month at that rate [:D]

True, but you must realize that for the size of car you are talking about, the I4s will always have a quicker wear and tear than the equivalent V6 trims of the same model.  It's been the case with the Camry, Accord, Altima and anyother car that exists with this type of engine configuration.  That said, from a fuel efficiency perspective in addition to longevity,  IMHO, the V6 for the size of car (Sonata) makes for the better bet.

Do take note, I mean no disrespect in anyway to anyone else's opinions. [8D][:)]

Wow you think a 4cyl in a large sedan with automatic trans is fast?!?! what the hell were you driving before? a bicycle? go test drive an Evo or STi then you can see what fast really is.
