Im busy fighting with my dealer on the fact that they want to charge me for a fan belt. The reason why I hate that want to charge me for it is because my car has 25k miles on it, a new engine replaced at 8k miles and they just put in a new alternator bracket. That fixed the squeel the first time (not the engine the bracket) now its back, I bring it back there with the same problem and tell me thats something else with the altenator (there fixing that under the warranty) and that the fan belt shows signs of wear. And of course we all know that the altenator out of alignment will wear the fan belt excessivly fast and they want nothing to do with it. Im a compent I think enough mechanic with a few friends that can turn a wrench. Is it that easy to change the belt myself, cause the dealer blows. Thanks for the advice, and you guys have a very nice forum here.
