How can you tell if your 2006 Sonata is an inline 4 cyl? I have 4 cyl 2.4 but dont know if it is I4? This is probably a stupid Question.

What's your eight digit in your Vehicle ID number...just the 8th is all I need..

If your talking about my vin, the 8th digit is c

Your i4 is a inline 4 cylinder. Produced in Korea.The engine is a joint effort by Chyrsler Mercedes mazda and Hyundai.Called the THETA engine.It is used as a generic engine used for many cars.
