Hi, I plan to install a 2.0 elantra engine in my Scoupe, can anyone tell if any mods to be done to the mounts( using the scoupe's tranny). How to expect the performance?

I'm not sure of the mounts, but I'd make sure that the tranny from the scoupe measures properly into the elantra. You should be able to measure the distance between the engine mounts to make sure that they'll align without any modifications. However, I imagine that the mounts will be different. Newer vehicles can have 3-4 engine mounts! While you take the elantra engine out, take the PCM as well. It will save lots of time down the road when you attempt to tune the engine. I'd verify that the scoupes transmission can handle the torque of the elantra engine just to be on the safe side. That's providing that the scoupe turbo 5 speed is the same transmission for the non-turbo engines, it should suffice as it's good for at least 123ft lbs of torque! Good luck.
