I always buy my gas at the same place for both the car and my truck and it is not an ethenol blend. I put  the blended gas in our old Accent and I didnt like it same with my truck it seemed to ping when under load so I dont bother with it. The smell that we get is quit strong at times and other times there is no smell I have even started up my truck to see if it stinks when the car did.

i did notice that on the way home today from carbondale i was getting around 25 mpg with 10% ethenol gas, then i made sure to fill it up with no E gas and my mpg was back up to 30.  thats averaging 87mph with the CC on most of the time

as far as the ethenol difference, i too have never noticed a difference in any of my cars mpg in the past (my Grand Prix had a screen that computed MPG for me too) however i have also never owned a car with such a small engine.   my best guess is that the low power of this engine is making the difference in ethenol blend vs. non E gasonline more obvious... any thoughts?

In all-city driving (stop-and-go, no highway), I got 28 mpg for a new 2007 Accent with only a few hundred miles on it.

Now, in mixed city-highway driving, I'm getting 32 mpg and in all-highway driving at about 65mph, I'm getting 41 mpg.  At that time, the car had 1200 miles on it.

Also, this is a 5-speed.

regards,
A.

I Have an 07 Accent GS Hatchback Auto Tran with 14,333 mi on it this morning.  My Gas mileage was horible when I frist bought it.  I put 2 Tornado Air systems in it and the Mileage got a little better, but is still inferior considering that I have my Tornado Air systems.  My old 98 Accent got almost 50 Mpg with the systems in it.  My calculations give me 25/31 in mileage so far.  My mechanic while giving an oil change complemted Hyundai on the engine not being worn down as compared to other new cars.  He doesnt expect the car to get full gas mileage plus added mileage from the tornado systems, until maybe 25,000mi.

I decided to put a Cold Air intake on my Accent, and now Iam getting an average of 35 mpg mixed Milegae.  I do not know city Mileage or Highway Mileage alone.  Now I got 15,429 miles on it, I know for a fact that the engine is still not broken in yet.

What cold air intake did you use (Brand Name / Model?)

Aside from the improved gas mileage, how did your performance increase?
