gaver01 -> I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER HYUNDAI (2/24/2007 12:13:25 AM)

I bought a used '01 sonata a couple years ago and it's been nothing but trouble ever since. It only had 40k when I bought it, but the check engine light has lit up more times than I can remember. The timing belt broke when it had 50k miles on it. I had planned on replacing it when it hit 60k, but it gave out before then. Fortunately there was no engine damage, so I just had to replace the belt and water pump. Now the crankshaft sensor is out which renders the car useless. Once that gets fixed, I imagine something else will give out. I will never buy a hyundai again. I'm going back to Nissan. I bought a used '92 Nissan Sentra with 175k miles in 2000. I had that car for 5 years before I bought my crappy Sonata and it never gave me any problems. In fact, I put 85k miles on it in the five years I had it and the engine was still purring like a kitten. Who knew upgrading would become such a nightmare.
