Has anybody else had this problem? My 02 Sonata makes a squealing noise when at idle. I already changed the tension pulley, and the idler. Any ideas?

Could be a bearing, maybe waterpump.

I would check the Waterpump ASAP. I had the same problem with my 02 Sonata. The squealing would happen when I started the vehicle and would fade away after about 3-5 minutes originally. Then it became a consistent thing. BTW, if the tech recommends to replace your timing belt while they're in there doing the work anyway, DO IT!!! I didn't (couldn't afford the $450 bill) and the timing belt went at 80k miles. It's now back in the shop with either a cracked block, blown head gasket or something like that. I'm not sure yet, the tech hasn't finished diagnosing the problem. Anywho...he said that the oil was fine (it should've been. I put 4 qts in it over a 1 1/2 wk time period) but the coolant looked like chocolate milk. Now I'm looking at what he estimated about another $1500 repair bill on top of the $1800 I put into it from the belt going on it. And to top it off...none of it is covered on ANY warranty because I didn't change the belt when the tech recommended it.

Water pump is most likely the cause, but if the squeal comes back or is worse when turning the wheel, have the power steering pump checked out (start by checking it's fluid level).

removing drive belts will help identify the problem.
