210swangin -> gear 4 ratio incorrect? (3/7/2007 10:09:28 PM)
i ran the obd II auto scanner and i came out with a PO734 code: gear ratio 4 incorrect. if anyone knows what this means, please hit me up cuz this **** is wrecking my brain.
That code is referring to the 4th gear ratio of the transmission.Now dont condemn the tranny yet.Do you have an overdrive switch on the side of your shifter? If so then the switch can cause this code if the wires are broken at the bottom around the shifter where it comes out to the connector due to flexing.I would test here first.I have seen otheer things cause this code.We have a TSB to diagnose this concern.
