Better fix it immediately, because when my friend had taken for granted the oil in the spark plug of his jeep it cause some serious problem in his Jeep starter. His mechanic told him that oily coating caused by poor oil control. Oil is leaking past worn valve guides, piston rings, or on some race engines a possible intake gasket leak and then entering the combustion chamber. Try checking for worn valve guides, intake gasket sealing alignment, as well as worn cylinder walls and piston rings. A leak down test is a good place to start for what is causing this... Goodluck...

Long-term solution...new valve-seals, or maybe a ring-job...short-term solution...shorter reach sparkplugs that don't get as wet with leaking oil as ones that protrude further into the cylinders.

Not sure about the PCV (positive crankcase ventilation) system on these cars, but if you have a bad PCV valve, it can cause the same thig.
I'd hate to see you do "new valve-seals, or maybe a ring-job" when it may only be a bad ($3.00) PCV valve or clogged hose.
