Hi all,

Does anyone have a DIY (or post) that provides instruction on how to change your fuel filter? I have a 1999 Hyundai Accent and I have located the fuel filter in the engine compartment (close to the firewall), but don't know how to remove and replace it, and what tools will be required. Any help that you can provide would be appreciated (especially with pics). Thanks

I'm not familiar with the Accent but I think the key is to make sure the system is depressurized prior to taking the filter out. I think you can do this by starting the car, then pulling the fuse for the fuel pump (or disconnecting the fuel pump connector) and letting the car stall.
