I just bought my 2005 Tucson last week. Have been wanting one ever since they hit the market, but was alittle delayed in getting one.
Story goes... Was roaming around my local Hyundai dealer and saw the Nautical Blue 4WD I wanted. It had grey cloth interior, but was the GLS going for 18,999. So after looking into financing, I went back a few days later, only to be told it was sold :(
The head sales guy said there was supposed to be another one on the lot, but knowone could find it. Turns out they have another area were they keep additional overage, so we took a drive over there. We were looking for the same Nat.Blue Tucson 4WD, which I spotted instantly, however! Once we parked next to it, I got even a BIGGER SMILE on my face. This one had a moon-roof in it :)
It had tan cloth interior (which I'm ok with. My Toyota Corolla has the grey, so I was ready for a switch of scenery), plus had the 6CD In-Dash changer. It was like I was looking at an LX without leather interior and heated seats. All the other upgrades were there.
So... She's sitten in my driveway now :)
What are the odds I would find pretty close what I've been wanting, this late in the season. I'm glad though. I understand Hyundai is no longer putting the cladding on the side of the Tucson, which is one of the things I wanted because I'm sometimes on constructions sites and it will help keep the lower area's from getting hit by rocks, etc.
Now it's time to Accessorize!
