200_A -> RE: vibration in front end (6/4/2007 10:56:01 AM)

Wheel bearings should also be inspected for wear. A few other ideas: Sometimes, loose and/or worn suspension components can also cause vibrations, and is something else to consider. As wheels rotate, sometimes the normal vibrations (assuming wheel balance is OK) transfer to loose components and vibrate, and can be felt through the rest of the vehicle. Another item to consider is a worn/collapsed engine mount. As I am new to Hyundai, I am not familiar with how their engines are mounted, but older Saturn S-series cars were notorius for upper engine mounts collapsing and causing vibrations much like you describe. Weight can be momentarily shifted as you hit a bump, and can change the frequency of the vibration temporarily.
