All depends on how it was maintained. At that mileage, the timing belt should have been replaced (twice actually), and if it's an AT, the fluid should have been flushed two to four times as well. Note that the AT should use only SP-III AT fluid; anything else can damage the tranny. If they can show records that these have been done properly and it has had regular oil changes, it is probably okay. Even though it is high mileage, they were put on over a short time. I had a Ford Aspire (made by Kia, a Hyundai-owned company) and put 117,000 miles on it. I sold it to someone else who is still driving it with more than 130,000 miles. My wife's Taurus has 83k and still is show-room new except for a couple parking lot dings, and runs great. Different car, I know, but the key is maintenance. They wouldn't have been able to put the miles on if they didn't maintain it. I would almost rather buy a newer, high-mileage car than an older, low-mileage one.
