Definitely a good deal and a good time! We just had a meet here in Texas that was a barbeque out at a lake. Had 9 Hyundais and about 25-30 people. It was a blast! Meetups are definitely worth the effort.

Hope you can make it!

we have 40+ cars signed up with over 55-60 people coming and 10+ are female, we have people signed up to bring burgers, dogs, chips, beer, soda, water... even some baked goods!

come join the fun! all this for $20 you cant beat!

Hey guys, well, seems that i'm not going to be able to get up there.. I'm in NC and that weekend is kinda booked for me... Wish i could make it, sounds like it would be a blast.

If you get a chance to go to a meet, you should go for it. We have regular meets in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. At this point there's a group of guys that work at a Hyundai dealership that have dinner together every Friday night and post the location on our local message board, so we have a mini-meet every week, and we have a bigger event every month or so. We had a picnic at state park on a lake in June.

It's a good chance to learn about your car, see what others are doing with them, get contacts for parts, and maybe buy parts (I got a set of Elantra GT alloy rims for my GLS from a guy at a meet).

When we first started, it was only three or four of us, now it's common to have 20 people or more at a meet.

Oh yeah, i'm familiar with the actual purpose of meets, i'm also in an s10 club, which has a lot more people in the NC area. I just won't be able to make it up there, pretty much got too much to do where i'm at... But, down the road, i would love to meet up with some of the guys in the forum... never been to Texas... would be a nice little ride.
