Is it possible to modify the circuitry on any one of the 3 DC outlets in the car to become an "always-on" outlet?

Thanks,
Larry

Larry,
I just bought a new '07 Tucson. Can you tell me where the "3" power outlets are located. I find one in the rear luggage (trunk) area, and a cigarette lighter/power outlet on the dash. Am I missing the third outlet?
Thanks

Check Fuse 16 in your passenger compartment fuse box.  It drives those two outlets (and nothing else).  It is a 15 amp fuse out of the factory.  Have you maybe shorted it out accidentally or plugged in something that might draw more than that?  Anyway, I bet replacing the fuse will fix it.

i got my car used and have only used the cigarette lighter to charge my cell phone.  i didn't think to check the outlets before driving off the lot.  i also didn't know it had more than the cigarette outlet).

on a long road trip with my parents, my mother had to drive (or else she gets sick), so i sat in the back passenger area and tried to charge my phone with that outlet.  nothing happened to my phone.  usually it lights up when charging, so that's when i realized the outlet didn't work.  i then tried the outlet in the back, and found it didn't work either.  i've always suspected a fuse, but haven't checked the fuse box yet.
