My car looks like a geo metro from behind with the whimpy tires they put on my car.  237 could almost rip those tires off the rim.lol   I'm having problems starting on steep hills, the tires want to break loose even on dry pavement. I know hyundai is picky about modifying there cars. Does anybody know if you up the wheel and tire sizes if it voids your warranty?

I'm currently running  215/50/17" Kuhmo's on my Sonata...never have a problem with the warranty boys when I take it in for service either:

I  just bought 18" veloche viper wheels and Dunlop Super Maxx 245zr45/18's.  I found out there are federal guidelines for the modifications your allowed to do and the dealer can't void your warranty i found out by the way.  The wheels and tires are being put on my Platinum Edition Sonata this weekend. I'll post pictures when I'm don.

Just go with a wider tire on the existing rim.  I have stock GT rims on my Elantra, but I have 225/50R15s instead of the stock size (195/60R15).  Check out TireRack or Discount Tire websites; they can tell you what series to get to make a wider tire work with your Sonata.  I bet you could go up one or two widths and not have any issues at all.
