Hello-

I have 2001 2.7 FWD, auto.

Check enging light came on, and rad fan always blowing.

ODBII says P0118 engine coolant circut - high input.

Any thoughts on a fixin? Just the coolant temp sensor, or more?

Thanks-

Rich

Sounds like it can just be the sensor.  Pull the connector to it.  Fan should go off (don't leave it off).  My son's subaru has the same problem, radiator sensor is always on (hot) so the fan is always running. I had a 2002 Audi that had the same problem, 15 degrees in Jersey and the fan comes on when you start the car. Audi said it was "normal".  The Hyundai computer expects that sensor to go to low temp at some point, a car is never always running.  So an always high reading means error.   I would assume you can just quickly change the sensor (most likely at the bottm of the radiator).  Put teflon tape on the threads, the correct way too.  Tape away from the threads so it doesn't unwind when threading it in.  Depending on how long the radiator fluid has been in there, change it after 60K or so.
