Just thought it was interesting how quickly car audio and audio in general has evolved.  I remember listening to tapes in my parents car as a kid and I'm only 20, I'm sure others remember even earlier methods and have now upgrarded to things like Mp3 players.  So, just curious if you guys are "with the times" or hangin on to the old school methods =)

I've got a Pioneer DEH-P980BT with an CD-iB100 iPod adapter, so my iPod stays hidden in the glove box and I have 100's of hours of music all accessible from the CD deck itself.  (CDs are so 1990's.)

I remember only a few years ago people were building their own Linux-based mp3 players for their cars.  This Pioneer approach, and the others like it, is SO much simpler and probably much better executed.  It's funny how fast technology moves.  My little setup will probably be ancient in just a couple years too!

I like old school stereo equipment....as in mid 90s when I was still in my teens and ran big amps and big speakers. I just recently sucked it up and got rid of my CD only head unit in favor of an Alpine that plays MP3's and has the capability to control an iPod with an additional control box.

I'm done with carrying CDs around.
