Hi everyone,
I am looking to try and change my front breaks, pads and rotors, on an old 1997 Elantra and I could use any advice as to how to proceed!

Thanks a Lot

well, get a haynes or chilton repair manual for the vehicle. Apply the E-brake... jack up one side of vehicle, while placing a jackstand, or block beneeth it... Then take off the tire, take off the two bolts that hold the caliper on the rotor. Take off the pads from the caliper. You will need a C-Clamp to push the caliper piston back into the caliper. Clean the area where the pads touch the caliper with a wire brush. Replace the pads... The rotors either will just pop off, with a little hit of a rubber Mallet hammer. Or it will be held on by bolts, you will see this when taking off... Then just replace in the order that you took off... and then do the other side the same way. Hope this helps a little...
