1) Tornados are totally bogus and may even lower your mileage. Don't bother. 2) Do you have an automatic transmission? I think the maintenance schedule says 60,000 miles for AT fluid, unless you're under severe driving conditions (which, it turns out, most people are). If that's the case, I think it's 30,000 miles. If you get an AT flush and fill, make sure the shop you use puts ONLY SP-III fluid in the car. Some shops claim they have universal fluids but they aren't; for transmission service your best bet is to have a dealer do it. 3) Fuel efficiency- in my experience, the best way to improve mileage is to go easy on the gas and brake. If you don't push the engine really hard, and if you coast as much as possible without hitting the brakes, your mileage improves. 4) Sorry, no help there. 5) Some people get really really into "detailing" their cars. I like to keep mine clean, but don't go crazy about it. For outside the car, I use TurtleWax Zip Wax Car Wash fairly regularly, and wipe it down with a microfiber towel. Once in a while (maybe 4-6 times a year), do a wax job with a good quality wax. Inside, I just vacuum it and use Armor All on the dash and stuff. Under the hood, I use Black Magic 2-in-1 Engine Shine. With the engine warm, but not hot, spray it down, wait about 15 minutes, then rinse if off with a hose (LIGHT SPRAY ONLY; don't blast the electrical bits with water!) 6) I recemmended getting a new stereo before replacing the speakers. I put a new head unit in my Elantra and the stock speakers sound much better than they did with the original head unit. I got a Pioneer, but any decent name brand will do. 7) Pull your wheels and check your brakes. They have "squealers" on them too, so they will make noise when they need to be changed. I have discs on all four wheels; my rears are almost done at 32000 miles, and the fronts still have plenty of wear left.
