Hi Folks,
I have a 2002 accent (Built after march) with a 1.5 SOHC (Auto)  that's seen its last days.
I love the car, and would like to put in another motor, at the same time, would LOVE some more power out of it.
Do any of you know of another Hyundai or Other, Motor that will fit?
By "fit" I mean without TOO much modifacation..
Will the DOHC 1.6 bolt up ok?... or, is there perhaps a larger motor, maybe from an elantra or somthing that I can horse shoe in there?
I have done lots of motor changes before on my domestic cars, chevys fords etc..
Any and all input would be welcomed!..
Thank you.

I know of one guy who just did a Beta swap on an Accent.  The Beta II is the 2.0 liter engine used in Elantras:

Thank you for the reply Doohickie,
I've been reading quite a few of the posts from a while ago (should of done that before starting THIS post!) Lesson learned.
In any event, lots of great usefull information here...
Looks like the 2.0 from the elantra is the way to go...
Now, to find myself a nice running elantra motor!
Once I get started, I'll post some Install pics, and when finished, I'll write a full install review..
Might be helpfull to other accent fans, who'd like to make the swap.
Cheers
GTaccent.
