Wondering if anyone has come across these issues and what you may have done about it

Have a '07 GS Sport and just received a Delphi Roady XT with the Sure Connect car kit.

First issue I had was deciding where and how to mount the receiver. There really doesnt seem to be a "best position" for this thing, nor do I like the idea of using the vent clips. Also, once you have the thing mounted, you have the issue of running the two wires (power and antenna) which can be unsightly.

Second is that the xmradio, even when placed right beside the stereo, often transmits a weak signal because the car antenna is on the rear top of the roof, so the sure connect kit permits you to directly attach a collar to a standard whip antenna (which the Accent does not have) or use an adhesive to stick the sure connect micro antenna to your rear or front windshield (if you had an antenna built into the glass)

Either way, there is no "direct" method of adapting the sure connect kit to hookup to the Accent Micro roof antenna (or get it close enough that it picks up the signal)

Any thoughts on this? Anyone experience the same?
