Now, the orifice extraction was in reference to the 2.0 4cyl, so I don't know if its the same for the 2.7.
Good luck.
I have no complaints with my 6spd at all. It grabs the gears just fine and launches amazingly.

That 2.7 is a good little puppy.
Makes 170-172 at the crank, so roughly 150-155whp.

Going to mod it at all?

I'd sure like to mod it a bit. I'm not sure what would void my warranty though. With so few miles, I'll definitely wait until she's broken in. First thing on my list is a better exhaust. Just a bit too quiet now. Don't want anything like all the kids and their Civics, sounding like my chainsaw, just something a little..."throatier".
As far as the clutch goes, I drove a spankin new 07 the day I picked mine up and it was the same. My guess is Hyundai doesn't want the thing to grab the way it should due to the fiasco of 2003. I'm definitely gonna tear the cylinder apart and see if that little orifice is in there. My guess is yes.

SSA makes a great exhaust for the 2.7.
Its got a deep billowing growl to it.
Combine it with the SSA header for a much better result.

Mods only void warranties if they are the cause for the failure.
