Hi im new on this forum.
I got my 1995 Lantra GLS 1.8 last month and when i get on the highway/motorway the RPM is at 3000 when i go at 95km/h
Is that really high because to me that sound high?

I just bought a '93 Hyundai Sonata 2.0L/4 cyl. and I am hitting 4000 RPM at 120 km/hr., which seems really high, even to the point of questioning the speedometer accuracy, but after seeing your post, maybe i'm fine.

While your '95 Lantra GLS 1.8L is not identical to a GK Tiburon with the 2.0L but it should be similar.

95 km/h is approx 60 mph and I know that a GK Tib with a 5-speed manual runs about 2800-rpm at 60 mph in 4th gear (1.06:1 ratio).  So if the gear you are running in is close to 1:1, then 3000 rpm sounds about right.
