Hey, I just got my '05 Tiburon (not a GT) a couple weeks ago and want to put my Pioneer DEH-P8600MP stereo into it.

Currently, the problem I'm having is that I can't figure out how to remove the stock system (not an Infinity).  I've been browsing websites, and all I can find is information like, "remove the 3 knobs, then the ash tray, then use a screwdriver to push in the clips, then pull it off," which would be great advice if I knew how to remove the ash tray and what in the world I'm doing.

I'm not unfamiliar with electronics and circuitry, but I am new to car stereo removal and such.  Not to mention each car is completely unique in the process of how to do this and I can't find instructions anywhere (save for one site charging $5 for them).

So, if anyone can help me out, I'd appreciate it.

You don't have to remove the 3 HVAC knobs or the ashtray or use a screwdriver.  Just open the ashtray then put your fingers under the center bezel where the ashtray is and pull it out.  Very simple.

Wow, you weren't kidding; that was easy!

Thanks for the advice!
