barking -> Fan/Blower not working - Trajet (9/22/2007 10:53:27 PM)

Hi, I have a 2000 2.0 Trajet GSI right hand drive (UK model). The blower fan died last week so I've now bought a replacement. Trouble is it won't work when connected to the power. I know the fan motor itself is OK as I can attach it to an external bettery and it goes round just fine. I can hear a relay clicking when I turn the control knob but I know nothing about relays so don't know if that's a good sign or not. Fuses seem OK too. Apart from a faulty control switch, does any one have any ideas as to the nature of the problem?
