Question Usb stick problem

Can anyone help me figure out how to use a usb stick to listen to music in my new i20?

The stick is new, usb 2.0, from Verbatim, fat32 formatted, 4GB, 2048 byte as per instructions in TFM. I get "reading usb", the titles of the mp3s or wmas show up for a few seconds and then it says "no songs" or just "error" and starts playing the CD instead. Any ideas? I've tried ripped mp3s, recorded my own mp3s, wmas, everything i root, everything in folders etc, formatted the stick four times and nothing works.

Please help?

Maybe you need to add a playlist first, hope it helps.

We have a 2023 Santa Fe. The USB stick does play, BUT after restarting a drive, our 'play selection', which is always Play All + Shuffle, gets limited to a single album on repeat. The rest of the albums are not played, unless we go back to the list and repeat the process to reselect Play All + Shuffle.
Another annoying issue is the steering button for next is 'DOWN' instead of 'UP'. This is even more obvious when navigating to the next radio station...pressing 'DOWN' to go from 89.5 to 98.3 is obviously NOT intuitive.
