2000 Sonata will not start
Good Evening All
I am having problems troubleshooting a problem with a 2000 Sonata 2.5L 6 cylinder. The car was having idling problems for approx. one week. It would occasionally die in traffic but would immediately re-start. A couple days ago the car was idling poorly - drove into a service station - poured a bottle of heat into the gas tank and tried to start the car. The car refused to start. Had the car towed home. Trouble codes as follows: P1505 - Idle air control at adaptive clip P1507 - Idle air control underspeed error P0445 - Evaporator Canister Large Leak I removed the idle air control valve, cleaned the unit and re-installed. I have also confirmed that I do not have spark at the plugs and I do not have power at the fuel pump. Battery power is OK. I removed the ECM - board looks and smells OK. Can anybody help with this problem? Is the ECM bad? Would a bad crankcase sensor cause all of these problems? Does anybody have an electrical schematic with interlocks for the ECM? Thanks. Jim R. |
