2001 Elantra fuel gauge stuck on full
 

I've got a 2001 Elantra GLS with 69,000 miles. Noticed today that after having fueled up full yesterday and driven about 70 miles, that the gas gauge is stuck on full. Even with the car turned off, its still above the full line (my memory was that all gauges go to zero when the power is cut off).

Any thoughts on this?

Drive it around for another 100 miles before you pass judgement. Fuel gauge does NOT go to zero when you shut off ignition. You might have overfilled it.
