2003 Sonata TPS

The sensor needs to be replaced.
3 in about 4 weeks.
The check engine light goes on.
I hook up my code reader.
Says the TPS is a fault.
I replace the sensor and reset the codes.
The last one lasted about a week???

The return of the code doesn't mean the TPS is bad.
It could mean the wiring to or from the sensor has a problem.
Is there any changes in the performance of the car?
What code are you getting?
Put in proper format PXXXX where the x is a number
example is P0122 which is TPS signal too low
Which sometimes is an intermittent signal wire short to ground
Measure the voltage to the TPS
Is it the reference voltage?
Measure the signal wire and move the throttle
Does the voltage follow the movement
Can also measure Ohms (resistance) across the disconnected TPS (signal to ground)

Thanks.
It's my neighbors vehicle.
I told her that if it goes bad or throws a code again???
There is something wrong besides the sensor.
There isn't much I can do and she'd have to take it to the local dealer.
I do some work on mine and the neighbors vehicles but my specialty is marine repairs.
Thanks again!!!
