2005 Hyundai Tuscon timing chain Part2

Hope I dont get in trouble starting a new thread, the other one was getting long and really obsolete as now I'm having problems so need new answers :P

I went to Autozone to have the check engine light read. It came up P0016 which has something to do with the crankshaft position or timing if I remember correctly I should of had it printed.....

Let me summarize what I did! Before taking the bottom pulley off I made sure the notches on the pulley was lined up with the "T" on the cover. After removal of the belt I made sure the hole punched in the pulley was lined up to the red mark(with that said I only eyed it as it is difficult to say for sure it was a perfect line up with the dot I guess I could of got a mirror or something). I noticed on bottom cog I suppose that is the crankshaft it had its own mark that I lined up with the mark on the engine. Now being a long day and all I do not think that mark lines up with the "T" on the timing belt cover. Should they be the same? I put the belt on had a little trouble on the tensioner keeping tension it kept wanting to roll back when I tighten it to torque per manual. Started it up the timing belt squealed pretty bad read online that I probably had it to tight and backed off a bit, restarted it sounded fine put everything back together and took it down the road.

I dont drive this car much, its my kids mom car. Sounded a little louder than I remember but that could be because it seems to being shifting at higher RPMs. No power on the highway and climbing up a hill was not fun I had to pull over and let traffic by......

So tomorrow after I sleep on this im going to recheck the gear alignments to there marks.....Should I be using the notch marks on the bottom pulley or the marks on the actual cog behind the pulley.....

Only other thing I did was change all the belts, plugs and wires.

Any other suggestions? Looks like im going to have to dig the 68 Camaro out of the garage to get to work Monday If I cant fix this....

Thanks!

Srober I just changed timing belt on my Elantra and got the P0016 code. I think I have what you had since nothing else was disturbed. How did you get your belt back in time? Did you have to loosen and move the gear? Thanks!
