2007 Entourage Speedometer/Odometer NW

2007 Entourage speedometer/odometer not working... sometimes. Bounces, dies for days then works a day then stops. Cruise OK, all other functions fine. Ideas?

The speedometer and odometer is fed a signal through wires from the ECU
I would check a wiring schematic and then check if the wires are opened or shorted
