Default 2011 Accent L tire sizes

Just bought an 2011 Accent L in great shape but old owner seemed to empty their garage junk on it. Came with 3 wrong sets of tires in it and the ones currently on, seem too big as they scrape along inside of car on tight turns.

Looking for optima, best sizes for snow climate, not just factory installed sizes.

Thanks a bunch

The sticker on the door /pillar should provide the correct size tire.
Which tread design is up to you and a good tire shop should be able to assist which are among the best for where you reside and plan to drive.

Default Optional tires...

Apologies. I don't think i was clear enough. I'm looking for what 'non- officially approved' tires would fit. The size on the door is crazy small and not terribly useful in winter storms.

I have to apologize also.

Just for kicks, ask your auto ins carrier if your liability ins is good if the vehicle is altered from original build certification.
At a manufacturer's training class, it was impressed on us to not alter original build because the ins carrier could walk out from any liability coverage in case of a mishap
For example, if the vehicle was built and certified with dual exhaust , OK , but not if altered and dual exhausts added later.
Best to find out before you change anything than after a possible mishap. Just because a lot of folks do this and get away with it , does not make it wise.

Default Snow

Thanks for that. I'm cool with insurance issues. I'm not cool with snow issues but point taken.

Something to consider,
The best tires for snow are worthless if you try to go in snow that piles up under your vehicle and lifts the front wheels up so they loose traction. If the back wheels are pushing it just makes the pile under the vehicle higher.

If your vehicle sits low to the ground and road is not cleared of deep snow (6 in) 50/50 chance of getting stuck and having to shovel out the snow from under the vehicle.to let the wheels hit the ground. When there is snow all around most folks don't see this.

A good reason to have a shovel in your vehicle if you are on your own , and can , hopefully help yourself.

If possible in a safe place, good idea to try to make a fast stop and get to know what it feels like when the " Anti Lock Brake System " works ,but still allows you to steer.

Most folks are not aware 4 wheel drive does not do ANYTHING to help you STOP in snow or ON ice.
