Default Aftermarket parts availability 2021&2022 Elantra

I’ve been looking around for parts like brakes and oil filters and even Hyundai trannyfluid. It seems like the internet has them locked down lol and they’re non existent.

Hi Jeff,
A little background FYI,

OEM go through a lot of testing and expense to come up with a good performing part.
Sometimes the bean counters get in the way and in attempts to cut costs reduce the quality of factory required parts.

There are some good aftermarket parts redesigned after they find a weak spot in the original parts and it takes time to determine just which ones they are.
Unfortunately, there are some cheapies out there too, and a lot of folks find out the hard way that price many times tells you quality was not the main concern.
Been in this field a few moons and the majority of the time found OEM parts to be pretty reliable, but many times cost more.
Some aftermarket suppliers don't spend much $$$ coming up with a cheap replacement and the customer is unaware and pays more in the long run.
A lot of places don't have OEM suppliers around and have to take what they can get. Just because they claim OEM quality,,,,,, anybody can do that and we find out the hard way.they just are out there for the $$$.

i get that but I mean like simple stuff brakes and oil and air filters. I’ve used Wagner brakes for years never a problem I’ve used Fran Ultra Synthetic oil filter never a problem. 360k on my civic 274 on my Toyota truck. It just seems like there’s no availability for anything like that. Now like for alternator I would go OEM but some stuff aftermarket I feel are ok. Even a set of spark plugs are hard to locate. It’s almost like Hyundai doesn’t want you to use anything aftermarket. Thank you for your input. This is my first Hyundai I’ve always had Honda with a Toyota thrown in the mix. I’ve talked to a couple of mechanics that highly recommend the OEM oil filter which I will use. It was just weird the lack of availability.
