Auto With Engine / Gearbox Issues!
 

hey all.

i have a problem that i hope someone will be able to help me with.

basicly, the car is a hyundai coupe 2.0 SE (1999 model) & it is having some trouble.

it started off jumping gears when the engine was cold, but now it does it all the time & even stalls sometimes when i stop in traffic or at the lights.

i have been told it could be a problem with teh gearbox & i have also been told it could be a problem with the ECU, so i figured, i should register here & see if anyone can help.

i am going to try & reset the ECU by disconecting the battery for a while, but im not sure if that will work.

would love to hear if someoen else can help me tho.

I'm not at all certain at what they may be. I had something similar happen to another vehicle I owned and by disconnecting the overdrive the problem was solved. Now it is nice to have overdrive and you can take that to a shop and have that repaired, but it may make your ride smoother until you do.
