Default Car alarm is driving me crazy, PLEASE help!

hi folks, if someone has some advice for me I'd be eternally grateful!

We have a 9-month old Hyundai i30, and since last night (about 24 hours now!) the car alarm has been going off every hour or two. My neighbours are near-about ready to kill me.

I've tried using the key to lock it/unlock it instead of the electric fob, but it hasn't made any difference. If there's something I should be doing, please, PLEASE tell me, but please keep any explanations VERY simple, I just about know how many wheels there are on a car, and I can't even drive!

The car is under warranty but my husband is away so we're not going to get chance to get it to the dealer for at least another 48 hours. I may have taken a sledgehammer to it by then. Help???

First, make sure all doors, hatch and hood are fully closed. If they are, then check each door, hatch and hood switch.

DOH, I never even THOUGHT to check that! Thankyou! I'll go try that now....if it works, you just earned your place in paradise!

If not, I'll be back...

um, ok. Well I've done all the doors and the boot (hatch?), but I can't do the bonnet (hood?) because I don't know how to open it. I'm looking for the manual, but I dunno where he keeps it...

The hood release should be near the bottom of the dash by the drivers door.
