hi all I am new to sight and I hope someone can help me,I have a 1987 1.4 excel
and I am looking for a diagram of the carburetor.
the problem is the car starts but will only run on choke,there is a small pipe coming
out of the back of the manifold just below the carb.there was a small rubber pipe
attached to the pipe but I am not sure of the purpose of it.
so if anyone has a diagram or some advice i would be grateful.

Does this help? Shows three vacuum ports on the base of the carb. I found this under the shop manuals option at http://www.hmaservice.com/.

hi ken99 I have tried to access the sight you suggested but I just can't
get in,it's because I am in europe I suppose.
thanks for the diagram I will try again tomorrow to sort it out it's just
that I cannot get the engine to idle without choke.will let you know what happens.
