Engine will not shut off

After fueling this 2002 Santa Fe, it will not start. Eventually after it does start, the engine will not shut off. It keeps running for about 2-3 hours. This only happens when we add fuel. We have taken it to a mechanic and consulted the dealership.......no one knows!! please help.

Have never heard the no shut off problem but as for hard start after fill up common for purge valves . You may also have a saturated charcoal canister. Now as for no shut off I would check to see if you still have ignistion after shutting key off. Start from there.
