Default I want to read injectors // GDS or Another Progam For Diagnostics

I just purchased a 2012 accent and getting some misfire codes Before I take the poke -n- hope approach I’d like to be able to read the injectors as that is what I would like to look at next. I Swaped the coils plugs and get the same result if I unplug #2 coil engine continues to misfire without change if I pull 1-3-4 there is a noticeable change… suspect 2 injector clogged/inop

I am new to Hyundai. I have other OBD adapters I use for other vehicle programs including torque pro but the plug-ins for the app got terrible reviews so i’m not going to waste my money there.

Before going through all the trouble to pull a possibly good injector, suggest you make sure it is getting power with the key on and getting a ground signal from the PCM.
That way you are more sure the problem is with the injector and not a different problem.

Even if you listened closely to the clicking each injector makes and you get no sound from the injector in question, it is easier and quicker to verify power and signal are present at the injector, which if you pull a good injector, all that work was for nothing. What do you think?

Agreed. My intent is to acquire software that will allow me to read/view injector wave form before I start digging into the engine. The injectors are located below the intake manifold and even from under the car I can only visually see injectors one and two. Do you have a way of carrying out diagnostics on the injectors without removing everything in the way to access them?

I would still like to have software I could use that allows me to complete advanced diagnostics similar to that of Xentry for Mercedes / ISTA for BMW / Forscan for FORD etc… hopefully there is something out there that is compatible with one of my interfaces I have a Bluetooth unit I use for torque pro and a J2534 open port 2.0 are used for other software applications.

If you check your owner's manual, it may show a fuse for the injectors, which if it does, you can get your waveform from there.

I am not familiar with that method. I believe there was one fuse for the injectors... so I can independently view the operation of 4 individual injectors from there? What interface is used to view the waveform?

Do you have any insight on what's available as far as Hyundai compatible software I can run from my PC?

What you will see if you place a current probe for a scope at the fuse is the wave form each of the injectors displays.

I am not aware of any particular interface to accomplish this other than a scope and low current clamp.
Now , if you get that far, how do you know if what you see is correct, without some background and wave forms to compare yours to.

You will need to invest in a scope manual to know what you are looking at.
For now , might be best if you had a qualified shop handle this.

A little side note,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Hyundais seem to have a lot of problems with crank sensors, which if malfunctioning, can cause intermittent misfires.
Not difficult to replace and not that expensive, but a lot cheaper than having someone else go do the same thing
