Key fob - Smart Key recognized, buttons dead

So I committed the sin of washing my key fob with my laundry. I've got a 2020 Hyundai Sonata Limited...sweetest car I've ever owned! Red, gorgeous, fun. My midlife crisis car. :) Anyway, I washed one of the fobs because I, like an idiot, had the key in my pocket because I didn't want to take my purse into the store. The crazy thing is, the key is still recognized! I can stand by the car and touch the handle to unlock/lock and open the trunk. I can even drive with it. However, the buttons on top (trunk open, smart park, unlock/lock, remote start, etc...) don't work. Any thoughts? I checked on replacing it and, yeah, that's not gonna happen.

Electronics can do funny things sometimes.
If you left out in the sun for a short while so the internal parts can dry, sometimes works.
You might be able to do the same thing with a hair dryer, just don't get it too hot, because that can do some damage also.
If none of that works , it may need to be opened up ,if possible, and clean any corrosion out with isopropyl alcohol.

You can get fobs on e-bay, ask around local shops and locksmiths about programming before purchase.
If it ever happens again, immediately remove the battery, and open it up, to dry it out. Most likely your fob is damaged by corrosion because there was power on it while wet,(electrolysis)
