Steering issue
I have a 1999 Hyundai Elantra ( great car), but the issue is this. We had the motor go on the back rear window ( was fixed ) and it was time to get a new timing belt. We have about 99000 km on the car. After the belt was replaced, my husband drove it home and noticed that there was a noise when turning the wheel left/right more when backing up and turning the wheel. We took it back in, and they said they fixed the "noise" but said that there is a small crack in the power steering pump ( not leaking and doesn't have to be replaced until we see leakage), we picked it up just as they were closing so when I was driving it out of the lot the noise was still there when I turned the wheel, as well as a noise almost in the left hand front area by the dash board as if it was liquid moving around ( hard to describe that sound) fan was off, radio was off and you couldn't really hear it if windows were open but if closed and you listen you could hear it. ??? is.... since the steering issue ( sound when turning) wasn't an issue at all until they fixed the timing belt [:@].... could it be something they did? saying they fixed it and it is still there? We are calling tomorrow again but being Sat. we prob. won't get it in till next week. Any suggestions???
Thanks
