RE: Web Access to Hyundai Manuals in U.S.
IE works just fine.
You must have the SVGViewer (Scalable Vector Graphics Viewer software), available from Adobe for free download, installed to view the pictures & diagrams. It's great that Hyundai makes this information available!!! |
RE: Web Access to Hyundai Manuals in U.S.
Hey i'm trying to register for that Online Manual...It has (4) different Sonata types listed. (EF) (NF) (Y2) (Y3)
What do these mean and which one matches the '08 3.3 V6??? Can anyone help?? |
RE: Web Access to Hyundai Manuals in U.S.
Those are the different generations of the cars:
Y2 = 1989-1994 Sonata Y3 = 1995-1998 Sonata EF = 1999-2005 Sonata NF = 2006-2009 Sonata |
Someone said this site is difficult to navigate, and I agree. I can't figure out all the abbreviations : DTM, ETC, USB upgrade, etc. I also can't find anything for my 99 Accent. Is the 2000 Accent about the same as a 99?
|
Wow, that's a really good point! There doesn't seem to be any info for the 1999. It's a real clunky site, seems to be missing lots of info.

- X3 = 1995-99 - LC = 2000-2005 - MC = 2006-present You need to select the correct generation of Accent: 1. Login 2. Select "Shop" 3. Under Model select "Accent (X3)" 4. Under Year select "1999" https://www.hyundaiforum.com/forum/a...1&d=1239132845 |
Wow, Nova! That's awesome! Thanks a bunch for that. It really helps to know.

Let us know if you have any trouble finding something. The site can be hard to navigate if you aren't familiar with it. The more you use it, the easier it becomes to use.

Mac compatibility
I found that registration was not possible for me using MacOSX with Safari or Firefox, BUT once registered, I have no problems navigating the site.
I have Windows XP on my Mac and used VMware Fusion, but you can use any PC to register and then use your Mac just fine. Allan |
i use that site all the time.... best thing ever
