05 Accent-p0503/p0502 vehicle speed sensor codes

The check engine light came on in my daughters '05 Accent today. I put my code reader on it and it came up with "vehicle speed sensor A intermittent...." After a bit of research I finally found the sensor and replaced it. That did not fix the issue. If anyone has an idea of the next trouble shooting steps to determine where the problem lies I would greatly appreciate the assistance. I have seen a couple of things that suggest that I should replace the ECM, which I am willing to do, however if there is something else that could cause the problem I would prefer to exhaust all possibilities first.

I should note that the code read p0503 at first. I cleared the code, drove around the block, hooked the reader up again and it read p0502. So it seems as if there is a voltage reading issue somewhere, but I have no clue where.

Thank you in advance for taking the time to read this.

Circuit low and/or intermittent may mean that the wiring is faulty.
Check to see if powers and grounds are present at the sensor
Check electrical schematic to see if any other sensor is on that supply circuit that may be pulling voltage down.
A visual inspection of the wires especially when they go near metal or exhaust pipes??

I was thinking that there may be an issue with a wiring harness or something along those lines. I will spend the day Saturday tracing and chasing and let you know what/if I find anything.

Thanks for responding
