05 Accent will unlock with remote, but won't lock

Hi all - suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I have a two-door 2005 Accent which has served me pretty well for the past three years.

About a week ago, the remote stopped locking the car and now I have to manually lock the car doors. When I press the button on the remote, the little red light on the key flashes and I can hear the car make a noise, so something is happening somewhere.

The remote still works to unlock the car, however. The key has one single button used to both lock and unlock the car.

I have replaced the battery in the key remote, checked the Power Door Lock fuse in the dash fuse box (took it out and the car stopped making noise when pressing lock button, put a spare in and the car makes the noise again but still doesn't lock), and even tried disconnecting the battery for a few minutes (I'm in IT and always tell people to try turning it off and on again, figured it was worth a shot).

Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions about what could be wrong and how to fix it?

In case you couldn't tell I'm no expert, so please speak slowly http://www.hyundai-forums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif

Have you tried to oil the locks? Probably one of them is tighten.
