1997 accent help flex pipe and oil pan

I have a 1997 accent that when I had it inspected I was told it would need a new flex pipe but they did a $30 weld job but told me it would not last more than a few months. That was about a year ago and the weld is finally starting to go. It is right in front of the Cadillitic Converter where the bad spot is and I was told it needs a whole new flex pipe. Knowing just the basics about cars and such. I will have to have a shop fix this but I thought if I get the parts myself I could save a ton on inflation that the shops charge and just pay labor. I was just wanting to know where I could pick one up cheap and also a new oil pan, as the oil pan that I have has rusted and started to crack and is leaking small amounts. Atm I am putting 2 quarts in ever two to four weeks depnding on usage. There is no evidence of a leak on the ground but i suspect that it is due to evaporating on the exauste pipes ect. Any help or idea of where I could get this to save me money as I am injured and not alot of income coming in would help alot. Thanks
Crystal

RE: 1997 accent help flex pipe and oil pan

Probably the lowest cost parts could be found in a salvage or wrecking yard. You may be able to find an equivalent diameter and length pipe in a generic auto parts store, but the oil pan will most likely will need to be bought new or found from a salvaged Hyundai.
