2007 Accent check engine light
 

The check engine light came on just before reaching 10,000 miles and won't go off. Is this a common occurance? I bought it used, so hope it will be covered by warrenty. Does anyone know a website I can find a local dealership that would help me or other suggestion? Thanks!

Did it come on recently after getting gas? Many times if the gas cap isn't tight it will cause the CEL to come on. Make sure the gas cap clicks at least three times to be sure it's tight. Try that first and if the CEL doesn't go out, go to a local autoparts store that offers free code reading and fins out exactly what code is causing the CEL.
