2013 cruise control upgrade

I have a 2013 hyundai accent gls with 6 spped manual. I added the oem controls to the steering wheel. The cruise control is not working. Do I have to enable the feature in the ecu? Is their possibility another piece i need since it is a manual? I do know cruise control is an option in some manual accents so i know it can work. I just don't know why it is not working for me.

If all you did was add controls to the steering wheel, and the vehicle doesn't have provisions to cancel out cruise when the brake pedal is depressed, or have info sent to the computer to show speed, RPM etc.and controls to regulate throttle position etc, the job is far from complete. Where do you stand with the mentioned items?

I thought all of those sensors already connect to the ECU, but I'm not sure if the wiring is there from the steering wheel to the ECU, or the software in the ECU is there for cruise control
The car does have ABS, correct?
Edit:
After reading around the net, the Accent needs 2 wires added between the steering wheel and ECU. The Elantra Cruise can be added with switches and an extension cable only.
