accent problems. any help appreciated.

alrighty, so i was driving under a mid/light load and as the car shifted from 2nd to 3rd (automatic tranny) it bogged horribily and a cel came on, and the idle was horribile.

my 2 cel's were the VSS no signal, and cyl 3 misfire. i bought new plugs to get rid of the misfire and it kinda helped, but its still there, and inbetween 1,000 and 2,000rpms, its really bucking the engine.

i cleared out all the codes, and drove it, but its still messing up, only no VSS code, just the misfire in cyl 3, and the engine bucking.

any help or direction is appreciated.

btw, its a 2001 accent gl with the dohc 1.6ltr engine.

the mis could be coil, wire, bad injector. without a fuel pressure testor and a scan tool(hi-scan), the only way to rule out the injector would be to swap the #3 injector for another cyl, clear the code and drive it. if the miss follewed the injector, then its bad. if the miss stays just on one cyl(#3), the swap plug wires, that would rule out plug wires, which then the only thing left would be a coil.

I would say that your best bet is the coil, 3 cyl relay is bad or the connection is dirty.
