I'm working on a 1996 Accent 1.5 SOHC 5-speed. I'm having belt squeal and I've noticed the alternator is not properly aligned. it appears to be sitting at a slight angle. I dont see how this is possible since the lower mounting ears of the alt. fit snug onto the block. I've tried shimming and replacing all adjusting components. Any suggestions?
